If Scorpio Men Like Me

E' ora di cambiare

Our community is growing visibly, after years of peace we are witnessing the birth of a new country that is in addition to those already become dormitories for the city of Modena.

I do not think that's what our old directors wanted for the future of our town, but I think they wanted a beautiful country, with good facilities, available to all, respect for tradition local, tied to its roots mainly agricultural.

is true, everything changes, but changes are not always right, rich in functionality. In fact, if we take an example, which seems to me representative, taken from the budget that our beloved mayor has proposed for 2007, one immediately realizes that even the announced tender for development of the Abrenunzio is known at this time one thing already doomed to failure, not because of the likely absence of demand, but because its not needed, as production plant.

New trend of Commons, should be to foster a more appropriate environment in which we live, not its complete destruction.

Ravarino Harmonizing the agricultural context, is much more important that the unjustified increase of cemented areas, deputies only to increase, even indirectly, to the emission of CO 2 , and only.

That area would be cheaper, and certainly more productive for the future, turn it into a welfare factory, we give an example? Why not build a photovoltaic power plant, to meet the needs of our district?

Do we really think they need new buildings that take advantage of our already limited resources?

Other examples, and may help convince some of our farmers in the conversion of their production, now with a low income, in the production of biomass capable of feeding a small local power plant.

We really adapt to the European directives, which require us to reduce by 20% CO 2 by 2020, building as they could, factories with the sole purpose of creating goods but who do not, and can not do it, our needs?

But are we really so foolish in thinking that they are always others to do it for us?

The time has come, we must roll up their sleeves as they would our fathers, and to rethink a new model of development, starting with small communities, to be sure what lies ahead is not easy and certainly not painless But time is short, we must absolutely do, or at least groped for a better future for our children.

We must move away from this bedlam hypocrisy of "Sustainable Development".

But how sustainable development can there be if we glorify economic growth, technological leapfrogging, hoping in vain that, like a dog chasing its tail always arrives late and can not bring anything good

I remember at the end of a maximum (Ernest F. Schumacher)

"We need to live more simply

to allow others to simply live "
