ALLERGENS in the wine (from Jun 09)

NEW! 06mar'08 of ... ... THE EUROPEAN COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH HAS AGREED TO MOVE THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE DIRECTIVE TO ALLERGENS December 31, 2010 ORIGINAL NEWS

The European Community, to avoid obstacles by Italy (who decided not to issue a decree transpose the Directive on allergens) has amended the regulation concerning the labeling! ... ... Unless you change your mind from June 2009 will need to declare the fact that the wine "contains egg" or "contains milk"
By Brunelli T.

No court labeling for allergens. On
obligation to indicate the presence on wine labeling of allergens from milk and eggs, temporarily suspended until May 31, 2009, the EU Commission, after the IRECTORATES G ENERAL Health of the Commission (DG SANCO) has rejected the possibility a further extension of the deadline and be able to bear the labeling of wine a pictogram on the presence of the allergen, such as portraying the egg or the container of milk, has prepared a new draft regulation, in English, for amend Article 3, paragraph 3 of Regulation 753/02 which should come into force on 1 June 2009.
Unless further thoughts by Commission for the labeling of wines that contain allergenic substances mentioned (and then only if present) at the moment, the following terms have been proposed, which we freely translated into Italian: - for it contains sulfites "sulphites" or " sulfur dioxide "- for dairy products contain" milk "," milk protein "," casein (milk) "or" milk (casein), "- for derivatives containing eggs," eggs "," protein of eggs, "" albumin (egg), "" egg (albumin), "" lysozyme (egg) "or" egg (lysozyme) " depending on the substance used - for the plant proteins contain "wheat", "protein wheat," wheat (gluten) "," gluten (wheat). "
on the use of written languages \u200b\u200bin the above, as for the previous "contains sulphites", you must follow the rules set by individual members (ENO source e-mail Italian Confederation of Vine and Wine)

LABELLING
was added the new Regulation art. 49 allergens on "Application of certain horizontal rules," which cites: "In the event that one or more items listed in Annex IIIa to Directive 2000/13/EC are present in wine (or more precisely: in the products set out. IV to the EC Reg No 479/2008), they must be indicated on the label, preceded by the word "contains".
There is, indeed, a draft regulation to amend Art. 3, par. 3 of Reg (EC) No 753/2002 marks as a deadline to waive this requirement May 31, 2009. Therefore, all the wines to the market places or labeled after that date, containing sulfites, milk, eggs and cereals must be clearly indicated on the label.
Except for sulphites (only if the limit is greater than 10 mg / l), for other allergens is no limit and they must be given however, if they were used in the production, even if one assumes there are no traces insignificant.
The possibility of postponement for the entry into force of new regulation is minimal, given the determination of the Commission's DG SANCO and whereas Directive 2000/13/EC had already established extensive time trial (2 years).
There is the political commitment of most producing countries to obtain a court, bearing in mind that: 1) OIV ongoing studies could demonstrate, by the end of 2009, non-hazardous to the health of such allergens
2) does not exist time analysis methods that can accurately determine the presence of these allergens in wine
3) the court would be more appropriate, considering also that the new rules for the labeling of wine will come into force from August 1, 2009. (By FederDoc 01/26/2009)

eccezionalità che diventa normalità

[December 28, 2009] Water Protected Areas and Biodiversity Planning and Climate territory

The exceptional becomes the norm, and perception (neutral) of nature to human use and consumption

Umberto Mazzantini

LIVORNO . Reading the news of these floods announced that disrupt water bodies, eat mountains, flood plains of a country that consumes fragile and immobile cement frenetic Chinese, come immediately to mind two or three things. The first is the obsessive reference to the exceptional event. A mantra of salvation and somehow comforting especially politicians and administrators who act as if now the "exceptional" had not become the norm, as if the "extreme events" were not already the daily climate that marks our time, as if the announcements made by scientists, environmentalists, IPCC and UNFCCC that this (exactly this) would happen, were a resounding amazed to discover that we renew every violent and prolonged storm. Flooding Christmas show that should soon think about the exceptional as normal as what to expect, to equip it to deal with what happens in one of the regions of the world, the Mediterranean, considered most at risk in various IPCC scenarios.

Fino ad oggi l'esperienze che abbiamo vissuto (With rare exceptions) were those of securing the territory to continue to do what you did before and more than before. The result was often that of cementing further, "hardening" and infrastrutturizzazione that changed once the parameters of securing the area and sent back to the dangers that would have been avoided. If you put security in order to continue to build where you should not, if you rebuild where the water had resumed its old ways, there is probably something wrong. The great public work and postponed the recovery of our national territory has probably need to be built with an essential raw material: honoring existing balances, which are made even more sudden and violent imbalances, adaptation to the changing nature of the works of man and nature to man, not chasing an impossible dream of taming the Promethean power of nature with technology, but putting the technology in the service of human security and balance that we have helped to break.

fresh eggs?? (By Capobianco)

... Dr. Capobianco also supports the idea that interpretations of the Ministry to use the term "fresh" label bakery products, do not seem entirely consistent with the approach of the EC Reg.
... Let's start with reg. EC 1907/90
... brief summary of the reference standards
" EC Reg 1907/90 grading eggs: A cat means those fresh cat --- B II or preserved.
"Reg EC 1274/91 (executive regulation of the EC regulation 1907/90) specifies the classification cat A: room air less than 6mm, not wet clean, no treatment
"Legislative Decree 65/93 (02/04/1993) implementing Dir 89/437/EEC: Ranking the egg "... after removal of the shell [...] are called and must be pasteurized egg products," Circ. 10/11/2003 n.168 least one interpretation of the Regulations (EEC) 1907/90 and 1274/91 (per cat. ... A non-conservation).
The whole egg pasteurized by A cat can be indicated as "fresh", the other must be given "eggs" If this' was not, there would be no the need to use fresh eggs, causing extensive damage to its agricultural production. (!!!) Ù
"Reg EC 2295/03 (mode application of EC Reg 1907/90) -> Details on Cat A mainly for packaging (extra fresh etc.).
Circ. Min n.1 19/01/2004 (CAT A specifies that the classification is for the packing centers (the cat disappears 01/gen 04 --- C --- The pasteurized egg mix from A cat is may indicate on the label as "fresh"
"EC Regulation 1028/06 (June 19, 2006) (cat A precise classification of the two (or fresh) and B. --- A Cat of those industries is not required for classification under the weight
NOTES AIDI in ref. July 22, 2005 DM the ass. agreed to include in the contract to supply "fresh eggs cat. A shell, pasteurized for use in processed products "
