is a few days ago that some German retail chains are asking their suppliers (Italian) guarantees the presence of dioxin in eggs. fact the German authorities notified the European Commission (December 27 ) a new alarm for the potential presence of dioxin in animal products (eggs, meat ... ),... ...
The hypothesis is that the source is "Feed to dioxin."
The German Ministry of Agriculture banned the sale of eggs, milk and meat produced by companies who have used the contaminated feed. We read from the site of the European Commission received more than 1000 farms with feed compounds suspected in several German regions. The origin of the accident is still under investigation, but it seems that the source has commenced for the improper use of fatty acids that were intended for working instead of paper, which was "confused" in vegetable fats for the production of feed.
One of the largest recipients of food that were the flocks of laying hens, the eggs were in fact the presence of dioxin over the limit.
Dioxin is a chemical carcinogen (see the article made some time ago " Dioxins and PCB contaminants in food ?" ... Below
is useful to check the RASFF (see link on the site www.tecnologoalimentare.it ), who will receive all the information in real time the German authorities and the European Commission ( http://europa.eu/ )
from the various sites it is stated that the Italian authorities has received no reports of unsafe food dioxin from Germany.
